Oh my god. At the end I ask him to watch LOTR with me and he freaks out.
It’s so much more than that.
It’s motion capture. Benedict will actually BE Smaug. Just like Andy WAS, and again will be, Gollum.
The way they move their bodies is very important. Their facial expressions will count. Everything they do will have a part in making their characters come alive.
AND Benedict will also be the Necromancer.
I don’t think many people realize this.
He definitely deserves way more credit…than just voicing for a dragon.
Remember that time when the Hobbit trailer came out and for a while the Hobbit tag actually had good posts in it…
