Hello, I'm Myla, I'm 19 years old and I mentally live in the Shire. I like Hobbits. Hobbits are cool. My heart forever belongs to the cast of LOTR. I run too many blogs and I like to make things in my spare time. I hope you like LOTR/The Hobbit, A:TLA/LOK, ASOIAF, musicals and art. If you want to learn more about me check out my faq or my about me page. Enjoy your stay!

Anonymous said: As someone who saw the movie first, what kind of things did you feel when you read LOTR for the first time? Were you surprised at some of the things that they left out, that say more things about the characters? (I'm talking about things like how Merry and Pippin get involved; in the movie they randomly show up in a field, while in the book they've been spying on Frodo to find out what he's up to, and they join him because they care.)

Haha I remember reading fotr in 4th grade and getting to the bombadil chapter. i was just so confused. i had to stop reading and then i had to ask my dad who he was before i continued reading. XD Many thing surprised me while reading the books. Pleasantly surprised. Like, oh this explains that, or oh this is nice to know. etc. Faramir for one is definitely much better in the book.

There’s so much more things in the books. Which is bound to happen. I like to think that the books and movies are different. Two different stories. The movies were a GREAT adaptation.
